Elementary Philosophy

Our Philosophy (Elementary)

Our elementary school is an exciting place to learn and grow for children from Kindergarten – 5th grade! We believe in teaching the whole child; providing Learning that Lasts, loving, nurturing and guiding each one to reach his or her potential academically, spiritually, physically and socially.

With only the highest quality curriculum, students are taught skills enabling them to become lifelong learners. The core academic subjects of reading, writing, language, spelling, math, social studies and science are all taught from a Biblical world view by professional, dedicated Christian Educators. The curriculum is further enriched for all students with specialists who teach, technology, art, music and physical education. Specialty programs like M.I.N.D. and Expressways to Reading ensure the necessary foundation and challenges in both math and reading are established for all students regardless of their skills.

The Bible is taught daily in the classroom as God’s truth and guiding plan for our students’ lives. Application of Biblical principles occurs at every grade level. We believe in putting our Christianity into action – in the classroom, on the playground or wherever we are!

During the school year students participate in a variety of community service projects, teaching them “it is better to give than to receive.” Children and their families have opportunities to give and serve locally, as well as around the world.

After-school activities also abound through the Grace Lutheran School Rec Club! Childcare as well as optional classes are made available to all students in the areas of science, technology, physical education, chess and art. Our active Summer Day Camp offers amazing field trips and adventures throughout Orange County in June, July and August.

Our goal is to help each child reach his or her highest potential, academically, spiritually and physically. We encourage this growth in a loving environment that encourages students to commit to Christ and to serve others.
